Mount Edith Cavell is one of the most iconic mountains in Jasper National Park. It’s towering North Face rises for 1600m above you as you approach the col for the East Ridge.
Climbing on the ridge will offer not only amazing view’s of the Rockies vista but a gate way to summiting your first 11,000 foot mountain. Stand on top of the World and join us on this unforgettable experience
What to expect
- A full day out in the Canadian Rockies (18km round trip)
- All technical climbing gear provided
- High amounts of exposure to the alpine environment
- Reaching a summit elevation of 3363m (1580m gain)
- Professional instruction on staying safe in an alpine environment
- A friendly and professional guide with a thorough understanding of the
area and current conditions
Who’s this trip for?
This trip is a great advanced alpine climb.
- We recommend you join us on an Experience Rock trip first
Ages 16 and up with very good fitness.
- Very Good fitness is defined as the ability to climb up to 5.6/5.7 rock. Walk over 15km with 13.5kg backpack and gain over 1500m of elevation

Timeline
- 0330– Meeting with your guide
Meet guide and sign waivers, safety briefing. Please have all your clothing and lunch with you and be ready to roll!
- 0430 – Arrive at trail head
Gear up and hike to the base of the route.
- 1800 – Arrive back in the town of Jasper
Debrief and say good bye until the next time.
